New Member Educators - Libby Love and Andrea Adkins

“I still remember the first time I stepped into the Chi O house during recruitment. There was something different about it—a sense of peace, warmth, and a feeling that I had found a place where I could truly belong. I didn’t know then how much this sisterhood would grow to mean to me, how deeply it would shape my heart, or how much it would challenge and support me in all the right ways. Looking back now, I can confidently say that choosing Chi O has been the best decision I’ve made in college!!

I quickly found the most genuine friendships, the most joy-filled memories, and a sense of belonging that went far beyond anything I expected. The girls who now fill my life with love and laughter—the ones I get to live with in the Purple House—are the same girls who have celebrated me on my best days and held me on my hardest. They’re my biggest encouragers, my safe place, and a daily reminder of how sweet and steady true friendship can be!

Being chosen to serve as a New Member Educator—alongside my sweet friend Libby Love—has been one of the greatest honors of my college experience. Together, we get to plan and lead Bid Day, Big/Little Reveal, New Member Retreat, and all the little in-between moments that make your first semester unforgettable! We get to walk alongside you in this season—answering questions, cheering you on, creating space for connection, and reminding you just how deeply known and loved you are here!!!

Chi Omega has given me more than I ever could have imagined. This chapter has taught me how to show up for others, how to lead with love, and what it means to be part of something so much greater than myself. I can’t wait to meet PC ’25! We’re already cheering you on and counting down the days until we get to love you, walk with you, and celebrate you through your first year and every moment after!”

“Choosing Chi O 3 years ago meant EVERYTHING to me, but little did I know just how much more it would mean to me down the road!!!! To me, Chi O is Abby Smith’s listening ear and advice, or Sophia Warren’s ability to make the hard days a little bit better, or Shea Frans randomly dropping off flowers by your house to get you through finals, or Bailey Timmer’s ability to make you feel welcomed and included since your first day in Chi O, or Ansley Gaudette going on study dates with you, or Katie William’s creative ideas, or (my favorite!!!) living in Dream House with 4 of your closest friends Chi Omega also brought you. I am forever indebted to Chi O for these friendships that will last a lifetime! These girls and so many more in Chi O remind me of my favorite line in our symphony, “to work earnestly, to speak kindly, to act sincerely, to choose thoughtfully”. These girls are all unique in character but each embody these characteristics from our symphony. These values are what unite us as sisters in Chi Omega and I feel so lucky to be able to experience it!

Being able to serve as Chi Omegas New Member Educator (hootie mama!!!) means the WORLD to me! Being a new member is such an exciting and transformative time in one’s life & it is mine and Andrea Adkins job to guide and support new members throughout their first year in Chi O! It truly is such a blessing to get to know each and every new member, plan exciting events, welcome them home on bid day (eek!), and so much more. I am most excited for the firsthand look into the growth, friendships, and memories new members will create in their first few weeks of being in Chi O!!!! We cannot WAIT to meet PC 25!!”
